Continuously achieving world-class benchmark Availability, Reliability, Maintainability and Productivity is
classified as Operational Excellence. Asset management is the platform where appropriate analysis and
implementing world-class methods to achieve the goal – “Operational Excellence”.
Understanding the present operating context to evolve a suitable maintenance strategy in order to achieve expected reliability is the real time need for all operations to produce benchmark performance. CODA technology has a well-trained RCM team and each subject matter experts for various engineering discipline – Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical and Process; have more than 20 years of field experience and around 10 years of performing &implementing RCM analysis in the Oil and Gas, Gas supply stations and other industries.
One of the methods to achieve “Operational Excellence” is to optimize the maintenance strategy through Reliability Centered Maintenance- complying with SAE JA 1011 standard.
Reliability Centered maintenance is a process to achieve the optimized maintenance strategy of a system of equipment ( “What must be done to ensure that the physical asset continues to do what its user want it to do in its present operating context, John Moubray”)and proper implementation of the analysis will improve the following:
Shram Vir. Rev. Dr EDWIN.R.BROWNE., D.M.E., A.M.I.E., M. Tech. PhD (Mech. Engg. Glasgow, UK), PhD
(Biblical Studies/IICM, USA), D. Min. (IICM-USA), C Eng., FIE, M.I.S.T.E. has obtained his professional
qualification in the field of Mechanical Engineering specialised in the area of “Energy Conservation and
Management” and researched in Condition monitoring leading to an Empirical equation known as
Edwin’s factor, a condition monitoring parameter for any rotating equipment in its operating condition.
Currently he is one of the leading RCM specialists in the world, could transfer the classical Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) concept by John Moubray into industrial realisation to achieve operational excellence. He is instrumental for the implementation of the optimised Maintenance strategy developed through RCM in the Oman Petroleum Development Organisation and Oman Gas Company in the Sultanate of Oman. He has been, teaching, training and practicing RCM since 2004. He has more than 40 years of rich experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering. All the projects which were executed so far had compliance to SAE JA1011.
